Technology company Cohort announced on Thursday that its wholly-owned subsidiary Mass Consultants has been awarded a further two-year extension to the joint command and staff training contract for the UK armed forces' Strategic Command.

The AIM-traded firm said the contract extension had a value of more than £11m, and would be delivered evenly over two years, beginning in July 2022.

“Mass has successfully delivered this important service for over 20 years,” said Cohort chief executive officer Andy Thomis.

“This further extension speaks to the continued strong performance of the team at Mass and their ability to meet the customer's demanding requirements.

“Together with other recent contract wins across the group, this contract extension further underpins our order book and enhances the visibility of future revenues.”

At 1112 BST, shares in Cohort were down 0.48% at 577.2p.
