Catenae has inked a deal with Southend United Community and Educational Trust that will see the digital media outfit provide the football club with access to its OnSide human resources application for the next three years.

AIM-listed Catenae will receive a "modest, one-off implementation fee" for the initial set-up and customisation of its centralised management tool, specifically developed for sports organisations, and will also receive an ongoing annual licence fee from Southend United, payable in advance.

OnSide handles scheduling of staff and timesheet processing, as well as attendee management and reporting in a GDPR compliant platform.

Chief executive Tony Sanders, said: "We are having conversations with a number of football clubs regarding their community programmes and how they operate."

"Southend United Community and Educational Trust are placing themselves as one of the front runners having recognised the importance of bringing together various information sources into a centralised system to increase efficiency and help improve their outcomes."

As of 0845 BST, Catenae shares had dipped 5.33% to 0.071p.
