Software and managed services provider Castleton Technology has secured a “significant” managed services contract with existing customer Circle Voluntary Housing Association, it announced on Tuesday.

The AIM-traded firm said it would provide a cloud managed desktop-as-a-service hosted in Castleton Tier 3 data centres, with business continuity via its backup and disaster recovery service, as well as a managed service desk which would deliver support and service improvements to the Circle user base - both remotely and onsite.

It said the total contract value was £0.36m over five-and-a-half years, which complemented the six hosted software products Circle already received, which were purchased in January on a 10-year contract.

“This contract is a strategic win for Castleton that further enforces our strategy of becoming the single service provider capable of delivering innovative software in the cloud with managed services,” said chief executive officer Dean Dickinson.

“This contract also demonstrates Castleton's ability to cross-sell, which not only benefits our customers but provides further opportunities for expansion.”
