BowLeven appoints new director

AIM-listed oil and gas group, BowLeven announced on Friday that Matt McDonald would be appointed to the firm's board as non-executive director with immediate effect.

Crown Ocean Capital, the largest shareholder in BowLeven, requested the appointment of Mr McDonald as its representative.

BowLeven's chairman, Chris Ashworth said, "We are pleased that Matt McDonald has agreed to join the Board of Directors and we look forward to his experience and expertise contributing to Board decisions."

Based in Edinburgh, BowLeven is focussed primarily on the African market with equity interests in Cameroon.

As of 1630 BST, shares had remained steady, up 0.87% to 29.06p.
