Shares in Blue Prism are up almost 10% after anticipating full-year revenue will be materially ahead, and commenting it has a strong pipeline.

The specialist in robotic process automation said the positive trading momentum seen in 2016 had continued into 2017.

It had secured 83 new software deals, of which 49 were new customers and 34 were up-sales to existing customers. All new deals were secured indirectly via Blue Prism's channel partners.

"Taking into consideration the above trading performance in the first quarter of the current financial year the Board now anticipates revenue for the full year will be materially ahead of existing market expectations, the company said.

Chief executive Alastair Bathgate noted the company's strong pipeline and said he looked forward to the rest of 2017 with confidence.

At 10:32 GMT, shares in AIM-quoted Blue Prism were up 9.28% to 488.5p.
