Mobile commerce company Bango has entered into a business partnership with music streaming giant Spotify, it announced on Tuesday, in a bid to increase access to the audio streaming subscription service.

The AIM-traded firm said the partnership would allow Spotify to make its streaming service available for operators worldwide to bundle with mobile and fixed subscription plans, potentially allowing for millions more customers.

It said the partnership would enable customers to select a Spotify subscription bundled with their mobile plan, or as a bolt-on.

Bango Resale technology would deliver a single solution, the board explained, enabling Spotify to reach new customers and ensure active customers enjoyed “seamless access” to the service.

In addition, Bango claimed its data insights would support the targeting of specific customers with new offers, to generate higher customer adoption.

“Bango is delighted that Spotify, the global leader in audio streaming subscription services, is now benefiting from intelligent Bango Resale technology to attract new customers, said Bango chief executive officer Ray Anderson.

“Bango is excited to support its goal to unlock the potential of human creativity by reaching out to more customers across the world.”
