AIM-listed stockbroker Arden Partners has tapped Mark Ansell to take up the role of chairman on a full-time basis.

Ansell, who joined Arden back in 2010, has been acting as the firm's interim chairman since May.

Elsewhere, Arden appointed Steve Douglas as group finance director after leading several significant investments across every department of the company during its restructuring over the last 18 months.

Ansell said: "I am delighted to have been appointed chairman of the company and to welcome both Steve and Alistair to the board. Their experience and knowledge will be invaluable to the company, and I look forward to working with them as we execute our growth strategy over the coming years."

As of 1030 BST, Arden shares had slipped 1.64% to 30p.
