Software provider Altitude Group announced on Thursday that it has appointed Nichole Stella, the company's president of US operations, to the role of chief executive effective from 5 June.

According to Altitude, Stella specialises in transforming and scaling brands and businesses, developing and launching new online products and services, and forging growth focused strategic partnerships, and has previously served as president of Promo Marketing Media Group.

Peter Hallett, executive chairman of Altitude, said: “Nichole has had a considerable impact on the company since she joined us in September 2017 and I am delighted that she will now be assuming the role of chief executive officer. We have seen first-hand that Nichole has the experience, knowledge and ambition to help Altitude meet its growth targets over the coming months and years.”

Stella’s promotion and the recent appointment of Graeme Couturier as the company's chief financial officer has catalysed a rejig of the AIM traded company’s board, with executive chairman Hallett to become non-executive chairman.

“Following the appointment of Graeme Couturier as CFO in April, and with Nichole stepping up to the role of CEO, it is appropriate and always intended that I step back to non-executive chairman. This will allow me to focus my time on leadership from a board and strategic perspective while facilitating clear communication between the company and our shareholders,” said Hallet.

As of 1501 BST, Altitude Group’s shares were up 9.40% at 81.50p.
