Alba Mineral Resources strengthens team with petroleum geologist

Alba Mineral Resources announced the appointment of Feroz Sultan as a special advisor on oil and gas on Monday, in a move that the company said "further strengthens" its team.

Sultan is a petroleum geologist with over 40 years of experience in management, exploration, development and the production of oil and gas, having managed both onshore and offshore oil and gas field developments and prepared field development, technical and commercial plans.

George Frangeskides, executive chairman of Alba Mineral Resources said: "Feroz's combination of technical and corporate skills in the sector will be invaluable as we enter the key testing and production phases at Horse Hill and Brockham respectively."

Sultan spent six years as chief executive of Petro Ventures International, a private company which has participated in the establishment of offshore gas fields in the North Sea and Romania, as well as three years as chief operating officer at AIM traded company Grove Energy.

Additionaly, Sultan has been a director at DESS Energy, an equity partner in the Kirkleatham gas field and Westerdale block in Yorkshire in pursuit of exploration and production opportunities in Europe and Mozambique.

"Together with our recent appointment of Sue Corrigan, Alba now has a strong oil and gas team in place to guide the Company through the next phase in its development," said Frangeskides.

The company announced the appointment of Sue Corrigan, a geologist and geoscientist with 40 years of industry experience, last week.

As of 1501 GMT, Alba Mineral Resources’ shares were up 4.11% at 0.38p.
