("Hotel Chocolat", the "Company" or the "Group")

AGM Statement and Investor Meeting

Hotel Chocolat, a premium British chocolatier and multi-channel retailer, will hold its Annual General Meeting ("AGM") at 10:00am today. Given the ongoing pandemic, the Board encourages all shareholders to refrain from attending the formal AGM, at which there will be no management presentation.

Instead, Angus Thirlwell (CEO) and Matt Pritchard (CFO) will give a live presentation via the Investor Meet Company ("IMC") platform at 3:00pm today (the "IMC Presentation"). Ahead of the Group's key trading seasons, the business remains well positioned and recent trading remains in line with management expectations. The Board will provide a further update to shareholders at its half year trading statement in January 2022.

The Group sells its products online and through a network of 150 branded locations in the UK, Japan and USA. The Group has a cacao estate and hotel in Saint Lucia and a cacao-themed restaurant in London. The Group was admitted to trading on AIM in 2016.
