Directorate changes & interim CFO

As announced on 26 February and 5 March 2019 respectively, Penny James has been appointed as the Company's Chief Executive Officer and Paul Geddes, former Chief Executive Officer, and Clare Thompson, former Independent Non-Executive Director, have today stepped down from the Board of Direct Line Insurance Group plc.

The Board also announces today that:

(i)           following her election as a Director of the Company, Fiona McBain, independent Non-Executive Director, has been appointed as a member of the Audit Committee;

(ii)          Mark Gregory, independent Non-Executive Director, has been appointed as a member of the Remuneration Committee; and

(iii)         Penny James, Chief Executive Officer, has been appointed as a member of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee.

The announcement above relating to Board changes is made in accordance with the requirements of Listing Rule 9.6.11.

The search for a Chief Financial Officer ('CFO') to succeed Penny James is proceeding. Pending a permanent appointment, Neil Manser, Deputy CFO, former Managing Director of NIG and former Director of Corporate Strategy and Investor Relations, will act as Interim CFO. The role of Interim CFO is not a main Board appointment.
