BAE Systems announces Nicole Piasecki to join its Board as a Non-Executive Director

 

The Board of BAE Systems plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Nicole Piasecki as a non-executive director of the Company with effect from 1 June 2019.

Until September 2017, Nicole Piasecki was Vice President and General Manager of the Propulsion Systems Division of Boeing's commercial aircraft business.   During 25 years with The Boeing Company, she held a number of senior roles, including Senior Vice President - Business Development & Strategic Integration and Vice President of Business Strategy and Marketing for Boeing Commercial Airplanes.  She also served as President of Boeing Japan.  

She is currently a director of Weyerhaeuser Company, the US forestry products group, and is Chair of the Board of Trustees of Seattle University.  She formerly served on the Federal Aviation Authority's Management Advisory Board, the US Department of Transportation's Future of Aviation Advisory Committee and the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco's Seattle branch.  She is a graduate of Yale University and The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and also studied at Keio Business School, Japan.
