Appointment of new Director

The Board of Directors of TRIG, the listed UK investment company managed by InfraRed and RES, is pleased to announce the appointment of John Whittle as a non-executive director, with effect from 1 July 2021. This appointment has been made following a comprehensive search carried out by a third-party recruitment consultant.

John Whittle is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and holds the Institute of Directors Diploma in Company Direction. He is a non-executive Director of Starwood European Real Estate Finance Ltd (LSE), Globalworth Real Estate Investments Limited, Sancus Lending Group Ltd (both listed on AIM) and Chenavari Toro Income Fund Limited (listed on the SFS segment of the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange). Prior to these roles, John was Senior Independent Director and Audit Committee Chair at International Public Partnerships Ltd (INPP), the FTSE 250 infrastructure investment company. In his executive career, amongst other senior roles, John served as Finance Director of Close Fund Services and CEO of Hugh Symons Group PLC.

It is intended that John will take on the Audit Committee Chairmanship in due course upon the retirement of Jon Bridel from the TRIG Board.
