SQN Secured Income Fund plc (LSE: SSIF) (the "Company"), a specialist secured lending income investment trust, listed in the UK, is pleased to provide its monthly dividend announcement ("DIV").

Dividend

The Company is pleased to announce the final monthly dividend for the year ending 30^th June 2018:

The Company has elected to designate all of the dividends for the period ended 30^th June as interest distributions to its shareholders.  In doing so, the Company is taking advantage of UK tax treatment by "streaming" income from interest-bearing investments into dividends that will be taxed in the hands of shareholders as interest income.

In addition and in line with previous guidance with regard to the matter of dividend distributions, the Board has elected to increase the amount paid to Shareholders to 0.583p per share from next month.  This has been made possible by the successful implementation of the manager's stated strategy to divest from platform sourced deals to their own direct lending.  With nearly 50% of the portfolio now delivering yield from SQN's own origination and the fall off in impairments from platform deals as they mature, the Board has taken comfort that sufficient dividend cover is being established.  The overall weighted average gross yield of the portfolio before fees, expenses and cash now stands at 9.84%.
