Time Out Market Montréal Opens

 

Time Out Group plc (AIM: TMO), the global media and leisure business, is pleased to announce that Time Out Market Montréal opens to the public today, bringing the best of the city under one roof, based on Time Out's editorial curation.

 

Spanning 40,000 sq ft, Time Out Market Montréal will offer food from 16 of the city's best chefs and restaurateurs, three bars, a demonstration kitchen, a cooking school, a retail area and cultural experiences.

 

Time Out Market Montréal is the centrepiece of Centre Eaton de Montréal on Sainte-Catherine Street - a major downtown destination owned and managed by global real estate leader Ivanhoé Cambridge with whom the Company entered its first management agreement to open this location.

 

The first Time Out Market opened in 2014 in Lisbon and today the food and cultural market remains Portugal's most popular attraction. Following this success, three new Time Out Markets opened in North America this year in Miami and New York (May) as well as in Boston (June). In the first six months of 2019, Time Out Market saw a total of 2.1 million visitors across these four locations and 72% growth in net revenue to £6.6m.

 

Time Out Market Montréal is the fourth site to open this year and the first in Canada. This opening coincides with the publication of the inaugural Time Out Montréal magazine which follows an increase in digital content across timeout.com/montreal dedicated to the curation of the best things to do in this city.

 

The global roll out of the successful Time Out Market format continues with Time Out Market opening in Chicago (21 November 2019), Dubai (2020), London-Waterloo (2021) and Prague (2022).
