TBC Bank Management Completed Customized Strategic Session at Stanford Graduate School of Business

TBC Bank Group PLC is delighted to announce that its top management and selected members of middle management team comprising of around 30 people completed a custom-designed strategic session at Stanford University Graduate School of Business (GSB), ahead of the Bank's annual strategic review.

Stanford Executive Education, a unit within Stanford GSB, designed the exclusive strategic session specifically around TBC's long-term priorities with a focus on ecosystems, agile transformation and change management.

The program lasted for one week and was comprised of the following courses:

  • Innovation as a process
  • Designing solutions for customers and for behavior change
  • Human creativity
  • Changing the business model
  • Tech in finance, Rise of FinTech
  • Exploration and exploitation
  • Scaling excellence
  • Winning through innovation
  • Learning in action

The program was designed for TBC based on Stanford Executive Education's custom strategic session approach and was led by William P. Barnett, Thomas M. Siebel Professor of Business Leadership, Strategy, and Organizations at Stanford GSB. The session was completed with the summary of learning and insights on what and how to reflect it in TBC's strategy and everyday life.

William P. Barnett commented: "I went into the program knowing that TBC is in the vanguard of bringing technology and agile thinking into the financial services industry. But I was still not prepared for what I encountered. The men and women from TBC proved to be unparalleled, both in the level of their complex discussions and in their commitment to innovation. The world should keep its eye on TBC, as its leaders continue to pioneer new approaches to delighting customers and transforming financial services."

Vakhtang Butskhrikidze, CEO of TBC Bank, commented: "This was a unique experience that has helped us to look at our businesses and strategic priorities from a variety of perspectives. We are energized with new ideas and are excited to start implementing them in our strategy and sharing them with the wider team. We look forward to putting them into action for the benefit of our customers across our offering. I would like to thank William Barnett and the entire faculty for preparation of this important program."
