Transaction in Own Shares
Gem Diamonds Limited announces that on 19 May 2022 it purchased 32,265 of its ordinary shares from Liberum Capital Limited (acting as the Company's broker) on the London Stock Exchange at an average price of 60.13 pence per share, as part of the Company's buyback programme announced on 12 April 2022. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares.
Following the above purchase, the Company holds 1,124,535 ordinary shares as treasury shares. On 19 May 2022 the Company issued 17,594 ordinary shares under its block listing following the exercise of options under its employee share option plan. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares) is 139,623,442.
