FEBRUARY 2022 TRAFFIC AND CO2 EMISSION STATISTICS

WIZZ AIR CARRIED 1.92 MILLION PASSENGERS

Geneva, 2 March 2022: Wizz Air Holdings Plc ("Wizz Air"), the fastest-growing and most sustainable European airline, today announces passenger and CO₂ emission statistics for February 2022.

In February 2022, Wizz Air carried 1,921,153 passengers at a load factor of 91.0%, representing a 285% increase compared with February 2021.

In response to the closure of Ukrainian and Moldovan airspace, and the recent closure of Russian airspace to EU airlines, Wizz Air has cancelled flights to and from these locations. Further details are provided in an announcement made by Wizz Air today.

Wizz Air continued to grow its network and improve its customer offering in February, including:

·      Wizz Air announced the allocation of two new aircraft to its Tirana base. The new Airbus A320neos will join the fleet, enabling the start of new routes from Tirana and a start of operations from Kukës International Airport.

·      Wizz Air Abu Dhabi added two new destinations in Jordan to its ever-growing list of routes. First flights will operate from end of April 2022. Flying to the cities of Amman and Aqaba, the new routes will strengthen travel links within the region by offering tickets at great prices and increasing accessibility to everyone.

·      Wizz Air continuously operates amongst the lowest CO₂ emissions per passenger/km amongst all competitor airlines, with 63.4 grams per passenger/km for the rolling 12 months to 28 February 2022. For the month of February, CO₂ emissions in grams per passenger/km were 23.1% lower compared to same month last year, as we witness an improvement in load factors over same time.
