Exercise of Options

Versarien plc (AIM: VRS), the advanced materials engineering group, announces that it has issued 88,120 ordinary shares of 1 pence each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") following the exercise of 88,120 options at 39 pence per share by a member of the Company's staff, under the Company's share option schemes.

Application will be made for the 88,120 new Ordinary Shares to be admitted to trading on AIM, which is expected to take place on or around 21 December 2018.  The new Ordinary Shares will rank pari passu with the existing Ordinary Shares in issue.

Total Voting Rights 

Following the issue of the new Ordinary Shares, the Company will have 153,624,320 ordinary shares of 1 pence each in issue. No Ordinary Shares are held in treasury. The figure of 153,624,320 may be used by the Company's shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
