LONDON (SHARECAST) - Wireless communications group Telit said its Trizium-Quad and GM862-Quad modules have GPRS Class 10 capability and are now certified as ROHS compliant.
By 1 July 2006, the ROHS (European Union Restriction of Hazardous Substances) directive requires new electrical equipment not to contain mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) or polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE).
"Telit has prepared a full range of compliant products to continue our successful line of GSM/GPRS offerings," said chief executive Oozi Cats. "This is another example of Telit being at the forefront of the Wireless revolution."
The group also announced the opening of new satellite offices in the UK, Spain and Denmark.
