LONDON (SHARECAST) - British budget airline Flybe is reportedly mulling the possibility of a £300m stock market flotation next year.
The Sunday Times said a listing would bring a windfall for the airline’s staff and shareholders, led by chairman and chief executive Jim French.
Flybe has instructed its long-standing adviser Merrill Lynch to prepare for a public offering, according to the paper.
The listing is likely to take place after the firm’s full year results are published in March, it added.
‘Flybe may consider the possibility of a public listing when investor demand returns,’ Reuters quotes the airline as saying.
