Ex-Microsoft man joins Morgan Sindall |

LONDON (SHARECAST) - Ex-Microsoft big wheel Patrick De Smedt has joined construction and regeneration group Morgan Sindall as a non-executive director.
De Smedt, who holds a degree in commercial engineering, was chairman of Microsoft’s Europe, Middle East and Africa division from 2003 until his retirement in 2006.
After leaving Microsoft he has served on the boards of a number of European public and private companies, and is currently a non-executive director of plastics group Victrex.
‘The group and its shareholders have always been best served by a board with a broad range of skills and experience. Patrick's appointment further enhances this range and we look forward to working with him in the coming years,’ said John Morgan, executive chairman of Morgan Sindall.
