European open: Shares in early rise again |

LONDON (SHARECAST) - European blue chips are attempting another revival in early dealings on Wednesday after yesterdays advance fizzled out in the afternoon session.
Across the markets, the German DAX is up 49 points at 5,818 with the French CAC rising 28 points to 3,813. The Swiss market is 38 points higher at 6,436.
Contract caterer Compass Group saw little growth in revenue when it declared full year results this morning, but pre-tax profit still showed a healthy rise on the back of a strong improvement in margins and currency gains.
In economic news, German consumer confidence was slightly lower at 3.7 points for December against 4.0 points in November, according to the GfK market research group.
