LONDON (SHARECAST) - Northern Petroleum is up after being advised of the preliminary award of Italian licence d351C.R-.NP, covering 100 kmē offshore Sicily.
The company said it has already started work on an environmental impact study.
Today's award is adjacent to offshore licence C.R146.NP, close to the Maltese maritime boundary.
Northern holds a 100% interest in the licence, but a subsidiary of ATI Oil, in which Northern holds a 37% equity interest, has a 50% pari passu commercial interest.
