LONDON (SHARECAST) - London-based brewer Fuller Smith & Turner said like for like sales increased 2.7% in the year to date but believes the trading environment is 'unlikely to improve' for rest of the year.

Despite difficult market conditions it expects full-year adjusted pre-tax profits to be in line with market expectations.

"Although the outlook for cost prices is better, the company will continue to experience very high like for like increases in energy and raw materials costs for the remainder of this financial year and into next year, due to the expiry of advantageous forward contracts," the group said in a company statement.

The company's cash generation and balance sheet remain strong, it added.
