LONDON (SHARECAST) - Morgan Sindall, the construction and regeneration group, said its joint venture with Arup Group has been selected as a preferred delivery partner for a range of services at the Sellafield nuclear site.
The contract, potentially worth £1.1bn, requires Morgan Sindall and Arup to assist in improving and developing key infrastructure at the nuclear plant in Cumbria.
Services to be provided include the maintenance of steam and electricity generation, water supply, chemical storage and distribution, drainage networks and all transport infrastructure at the site. The contract is expected to be signed later in the year, for an initial five year period, with an option to extend the contract for a further 10 years.
