LONDON (SHARECAST) - Marks and Spencer, the high street retail giant, has raised eyebrows by poaching a well thought of House of Fraser executive.
According to the Financial Times, Stephanie Chen, who has been in charge of womenswear at HoF, moves to become director of homeware and childrenswear at M&S.
Internal candidate Scott Fyfe will become head of menswear.
These are the first big appointments by the group’s new head of General Merchandise, John Dixon, since he succeeded Kate Bostock in July.
Before her time at House of Fraser Chen worked at Debenhams.
Scott Fyfe is a protege of Sir Stuart Rose, the long serving Chief Executive of Marks between 2004 and 2010.
