LONDON (SHARECAST) - Rupert Murdoch will publish his new tabloid the Sun on Sunday next weekend, News International has revealed.
The media mogul emailed his staff telling them that he will be "staying in London to oversee the launch".
The announcement follows last week's comments from Murdoch to a select number of his staff that the paper, which is to replace former publication News of the World "very soon".
A replacement was widely anticipated ever since the paper was scrapped last year following the infamous hacking scandal, although there has been some speculation that with The Sun's declining sales there would be no call for a Sunday edition.
