LONDON (SHARECAST) - UK property website Rightmove impressed again today, leading the mid-cap movers for the second consecutive day after its bullish trading update on Tuesday.
The group said it was expecting slightly better than expected profits for the last year as a result of stronger sales. Rightmove also noted that it would focus on increasing advertising services on the site.
UBS also played a part as it upgraded Rightmove this morning to 'buy' from 'neutral' and hiked it price target to 500p from 360p arguing that it is confident the group will be able to monetise its brand.
Topps Tiles, the wood flooring and tile specialist, also said demand for its products has continued to grow in recent months despite the tough retail market with like-for-like revenues up 4.7%.
JJB Sports, the sportswear retailer, also looks satisfied with its second half performance to date and said the festive trading period was strong with a 5.4% increase in like-for-like sales for the 5 weeks to 31 December.
